Unfortunately yes some people are that desperate, in the same way as many others fall for other cons (and NO I am not one of them).

Apparently so - there was quite a furore on this group at the time. I personally don't find it very funny, myself. What bothered me was that I only wanted the vid but wasn't prepared to pay over ?30 for it (I had no interest in starring so this (now revealed to be fraudulent) "promise" of work which pushed up the vid's cost didn't excite me).

I recall the story being used on the yahoo group was the video was unseen footage at home and had Lauras full consent to be sold
