Hard Facts

Here I have some hard facts for all of you:
1. Alec and his friends are doing a GREAT job with this site, my compliments.
2. As nearly everybody who runs a noncommercial site on the net, they clearly need sponsors, in this case "Your Choice".
3. "Your Choice" keeps this site alive, so they clearly have a right to advertise here.
4. Everybody has his own opinion about the quality of service they deliver. If someone has made bad experiences with them he should be free to publicise it here.
5. If this happens don?t simply call him a troll but post your contrasting opinion and perhaps ask the guys of YC to reply to the complaints their former customer has to make.
6. I think Alec should stand above such conflicts of interests and (1) simply delete posts challenging him. He?s after all the moderator. (2) don?t engage in such ridulous, childish flamewars.

Cool Alec great site, if you ever want to censor my posts please do so. In my opinion the reason I don't advertise every product on here is I don't need to, by my small association to this site giving info etc is enough to get me some traffic of video buyers etc. I am sure Jay is of the same opinion.
The frustrating part is a few idiots who are argumentative, I don't meen they have a different opinion I meen they always have a different opinion. If they know so much about the industry how it works, who makes money, who is who, etc etc etc why don't they start a company up and make themselves a David Sullivan over-night. put some hard cash into it not a few quid in a pirates pocket.
I have just been asked by somone on the forum for some FREE pictures to help with the building of their new web-site. My answer of-course ask and you will recieve (where possible). Some people call us producers names etc cause we seem to bang our drums or advertise on here etc...so what! we are at the sharp end
we spend our money on equipment and shoots and like any other business if you succeed in your goals you deserve some recodnition 99% of the guys on this forum admire the front we have to "do it" 1% are doom and gloom merchants filled with jelousy and a whole range of mental dissorders. I suppose I should be compasionate and feel sorry for them but I don't, put them down I would say end their misory and save Alec and the other guys trying to reason with the un-reasonable.

You're not only confused, you're bloody stupid.

Along with others, I've read many of Alec's posts both here and in the alt.fan.tvx newsgroup over the last few years, and it doesn't take a genius to deduce from this abundant evidence that Alec is as straight a shooter as they come, and dedicated - dedicated!! - to solid facts and hard info, getting it and passing it on. The suggestion that he "owns" Your Choice and uses this site as a skewed promotion tool for them is just too asinine for words. I can only assume he has left the post intact to demonstrate to all the utter folly and un-savoir-faire of the poster, which it does perfectly.

OTOH, the post is *so* clueless, one must suspect it's nothing more than a calculated troll, designed to move the focus here further from the actress and film info which is the original reason for the site, towards personal bickering and pissing contests which tend to make the forum less pleasant, informative and usable. One can only guess at the reasons someone might invest their time and energy in this destructive project.

I'd urge the moderators to be a bit more free with the axe, so while they might feel that a post, though regrettable, is technically within the site policy, just to forget about the niceties and remove it without trace. Especially posts focussed on the forum itself and its users, if they seem up to no good. Remember that we only have the site because of your work, and you have the right to expect people to behave in it, and, like any proprietor, to take action where the house rules are not observed.

My hope is that a tightening of policy would make it duller for the trollish elements, and they'd depart - what I would not like to see is the forum closed because the task of policing it had surpassed the advantage gained from using it. For some reason I keep thinking this is exactly the intention of the troll who started this thread.
