There's some sick fuckers out there[pardon my French]. There was a link from one of these forums the other day to a Gail McKenna website which was stalking at best and barely held hate at worst.

There was a snide post here a few weeks ago regarding the father of Ms Ramptons baby-to-be. It was a nasty little post that was deleted. Maybe the moderators can retrieve it. I remember I replied with the question of why he was questioning, was it because he didn't know who HIS dad was?.......no suprises that was deleted too!

Wasn't sure about how this would work, so I just went through the process of creating a hotmail email account, it took less than 5min, once created sent an email to my normal email there is no "co.uk" extension just "hotmail.com" which could be anywhere in the world. The only real check was it asked for a postcode that matched the London location I entered once that was done it let me through (got postcode with google) I am in Australia.
The other point some one made about getting the ip address won't work if the person has a broadband account without a fixed address, don't about the U.K. but this is standard in Aus (you have to request a fixed ip address) it will be different every time they turn their modem on.

I agree. Your happiness, relationship and the baby are all more important than what this guy's saying. Your friends, family and close work colleagues all know it's a crock of shit so don't worry about it.

As a web-based email site, they (Microsoft/Hotmail) WILL be able to trace his IP, etc. The IP Addy & various other details will automatically be logged every single time the guy logs in to access his email account.
