I don't condone piracy of any means - however anybody looking for a DVD player could do far worse than this... I bought one last week, it's top notch.

http://www.avland.co.uk/pioneer/dv444/offer.htm

?180 delivered - Pioneer 444 - Macro disabled, and bomb proof multi region access. It can output NTSC as PAL 60 (allowing you to video *anything*), it plays MP3 files too, not that that's relevant here. It's a bit pointless copying to vid as the whole benefit of DVD is improved quality, speedy access to any scene, and a non fuzzy pause that doesn't stretch the tape.

One thing worth mentioning is that most porn dvd's are Region 0 unlike mainstream dvd. This means that they will play on any dvd player worldwide. No need to worry about NTSC or PAL, region 1 or 2, or Standards Converters etc.

True, most porn producers arn't worried about people watching the vids in different parts of the world. They want ANYONE to be able to watch/buy. :)

The whole point of region coding is so the film companies can restrict distribution of their movies. ie: movie made in US is released on DVD in December, but is still showing in cinemas in the UK at that time. They want people to goto the cinema to see the film, not buy the american DVD.
