Ok, but none of what you wrote will apply in ten years time, which was a crucial point. also, i'm not claiming to be at the vanguard of technology but none of what you wrote applies to me even now. i can stream hd porn to my plasma over the simple network i have in my home. it's really not that hard. imagine where we'll be in ten tears? i can get a terabyte of storage for about ?50, right now. in ten years a terabyte will be like a megabyte now. broadband speeds will have massively increased, enabling hd content to be streamed in realtime.

what i described in my original post will come to pass. digital media will only exist in streams and on servers and hard drives. there will be no need for discs or other physical media. and as a result the traditional practice of releasing a film title will disappear. what i'm asking is will the bgafd adapt or become an archive that stops when it no longer has any "releases" to catalogue?

Like yourself Terry we both started out at the right time when there were only a handful of amateurs so our products are known over the UK but now it must seem impossible to new starters to get noticed in the way we did to Joe public.
We started also with Your Choice getting several film of the months before deciding movies were realy for us as till then it was just fun.
Most amateurs asking questions on here get shot down in flames so thats why loads don't use it, a site like this aimed at amateurs would be good as they would feel more cormfortable asking simple questions from shooting to help getting the material out to the public.
Every week we get various e-mails from girls,couples on Adultwork / Glamourfinder who ask us the best way to start on a shoe string budget & we do mean shoe string (skint) & we try to help.
John shoots quite a bit of material for girls now & edits it into usable media mostly free of charge which most on here would think crazy but we shot a 4 girl film the other week & it didn't cost us a penny as they were girls we have helped over the years so the good barter system & does work.
We realised we must have got to Pro status when we got free entry into most adult clubs & felt on top of the world when the Americans at Hedo 2 had seen our movies, if only we had a pound for every one of our movies that have been pirated.....

You make a good point there CB about girls appearing in certificated video,DVD's. To change with the times this site should now also be doing internet films as most don't bother getting their films with certs when they can have a viable way of earning as much in downloads. It would also help with the point me & Terry were talking about in amateurs on this site as it would put them on equal footing when they could get their films/details logged on the data base.

Well, I can't argue with Terry's stats. And I certainly concede
the point about 'collectors' becoming rare [at least in the UK-
I suspect the situation is less gloomy in Europe, at least at the
moment].
A decline in new-material DVDs will make life difficult for
databases when no permanent medium is used. I still think [or
hope] there's a market for new high-end stuff on disc [and of
course 'classic' material] as opposed to the more 'disposable'
gonzo stuff. The latter is ideal for 'one-shot' consumption and
therefore d/l as, like so much contemporary "entertainment",

Of course if anyone could predict the future they would make a fortune but i dont totaly accept that dvds are finished, recorded dvd sales are down but pirated ones appear to be selling well go round most boot sales and there will be someone doing a trade in bootleg dvd pornos and mainstream ones, it seems the answer is if you have material that you own the rights to then bootleg your own stuff at least you cant be done for copyright theft because as soon as you post it on the internet someone else will copy it and sell it, maybe the next thing would be hours of films on a memory chip that you just insert into a player it would be a lot more private than downloading on the internet where big brother and your wife can easily see what you have been watching !wink!

This is supposed to be a British girls date base but where does it say it has to be data on only certified films & is this fair, its not what it says on the tin really.
As most films are now used on the internet then these should also be databased due to the change around in prefered media tastes.
The reason i said earlier about the amateur market being recorded on here was because it would be impossable as there are 1000's making movies so to data-base the UK girls is next to impossible, people coming on here for the first time believe this is it but its only the tip of the iceberg in the real sense of things.

So who will say what new films are acceptable to data base & which ones not when its all internet media formats? Bear may have a point after all.

If you attempted to make a database for every porno that was ever made i doubt there would be enough space on the internet, therefore you have to break it down and as most amateur films dont even have a title how can you list them !confused!
