Each photographer / producer / website manager has different minimum levels and requirements so reasonable for them to politely ask what levels a model works to particularly if, like this thread, no links to an AIR or similar profile.
I only book models to solo levels but normally paid shoots will be outdoors in the countryside with certain ( lack of ) clothes requirements and I always ask about w/s.
In my experience models do not take offence if asked politely but simply state the aspects that they are not available for.
I agree levels should be respected, not pushed.
