It would be interesting to compile a table of models listed on AIR etc with the headings
implants, body modifications, only small discrete tattoos, major body 'art'

By body modifications I mean botox, cosmetic surgery other than implants etc.

Sadly there would be few models who had an empty row.

When I first started out I refused to shoot any models with frontal tattoos, about 2009 this almost became impossible.
I probably missed out on a few good models but fake boobs have never bothered me unless they were horrid looking along bits of metal dotted about the upper and lower regions also never bother me either

Phew more than I thought, pity so few make it on to our TV screens..the adult channels are silicone and tatt hell.

It's in discussions like this that my mind starts to celebrate Monty Python and the British sense of humour... What have the Romans ever done for us?

Yes, apart from art, architecture, roads, aqueducts, wine, cats, coins... lol

Seriously though, we have some of the finest hottest women right here in good old blighty in my view, and my personal wish is that more would realise how beautiful they are and just focus on looking after themselves rather than ruin it all with enhancements - both models and civilians. There are stunning girls in my gym who are punishing themselves obsessively, convinced that they don't look good enough.

As for tattoos, not a fan myself.

Interesting suggestion that Sparky made about all models declaring on their AIR profiles or indeed any model profiles whether they have modified themselves in any shape or form, and to make this easily digestable by some sort of checklist where it is mandatory to say yes or no, and if yes, to provide more info.

As sparky said, I bet there would be very few who could honestly answer NO to all the prompting questions.

Bodyart is becoming so popular now and whereas it used to be small discrete tatoos now we are seeing more and more ink on the blank canvas.

At least with make-up or bodypaint you can create some great looks which are temporary and can be washed away or removed.

How times have changed, but then again there was a time when the CEO of Wilkinson Sword woke up one morning and thought to himself ... YES .... thank you girls, thank you for providing a massive market for us to exploit whilst you merrily shave your pubic hair, landing strips and all other non head related hair from your bodies.

Perhaps not so much with photos posted here and on AIR profiles but on Purestorm etc. some models are very careful to post images where there tatts are either covered by clothes or hidden by the pose and camera angle. If they are so proud of them why hide them as well at it being unfair to photographers / producers.

I'm not going to name them but there are several models who once I would have liked to book but now have what I categorise as major body 'art' and are deleted from my list.

If the model deceived you and came to a shoot sporting modifications you didn't want, would you send her home?

Nothing gets me more wound up when a debate starts about 'natural' girls.

Firstly, if you hadn't noticed, the industry we're discussing here is porn. A fantasy world where (if done properly), the girls get made-up, dressed up and put on performances for our pleasure. Accordingly, there will be some acting, lighting, sets, edits, bullsh*t, adaptation, enhancement etc...all intended to enhance the product.

Secondly, the girls/actresses will (usually) shave their legs, armpits, fanni*es; pluck eyebrows, wear false eye-lashes, bleach upper lips etc...all intended to enhance themselves.

It's a fantasy world where, regardless of preference or perversion, the producers & performers aim to give their audience something that they can't get in every day life.

I don't personally like the ironic 'fashion' of tattoos but that is my preference so I will no doubt look for something/someone without too many...but I don't need to feed any politically correct rambling.

So, and lastly, if any girl sees fit to enhance herself, of her own free will, who are we to dare suggest limits & levels?

The limitation is the number of photographers here who will shoot them - Their limitation is.. No work.
I for one would never suggest to any model don't do this don't do that, I just used to politely reply in an email requesting work (Before it almost became imposible and almost had no choice) "sorry I don't shoot girls with frontal or arm tattoo's". In the early days the only exception was when I had to for a client or I really wanted to work with a model (Morrigan-Hel springs to mind)

If it had been clearly discussed and she misrepresented herself I would seriously consider cancelling on the spot. But it would depend on how prominent her alterations were.
