Yeah, but they'll have to cut the bit with me putting the spoon away.

Freebie at ?27.50 eh?

Anyway serious question. Suppose YC actually send these covers. Where can you buy plain plastic boxes? Phil Mc if your reading this where do you get your boxes(no pun intended)? Also where the fuck can I find spare cardboard sleeves for my tapes which dont have any due to Your Choice sloppy agents not bothering to send one?

serious point re (lack of) sleeves

I assume blank vids from the wholesalers come with sleeves. Or, if not, they can be purchased separately.
If so, what happens to them? Are these guys selling them on at boot sales (I'd certainly buy them, coz strangely enough I often get vids minus sleeves)?
You've got to wonder at a flimsiness of a business plan that apparently has to marginalise costs by dispensing with the provision of sleeves, at something like 5p a throw.
Shall I post a list of the most heinous offenders, or are you cheapskates going to get your collective act together? I know some of you visit here, but oddly enough, while you're happy to plug your product, you seem unwilling to mention this novel feature of your service, or to address legitimate queries about it.

All this hostility! I don't know...

Why not just shop from somewhere else if you don't like them? I do!

Plastic boxes - HMV, Virgin etc. (applies to DVD cases too).

Thanks Alec. It would seem replacement slip sleeves/dust jackets are somewhat more elusive. Boxes more bulky but at least they keep the dust out.

Thanks: fair enough, but doesn't address the primary issue.

I think they are about 30p each for the small size(ones I use) I could dispach you some boxes of 50 plus carriage they are quite light, so should be cheap. I don'r know the shop prices etc in fact I am not sure the price we pay right now so I am guessing,

Phil McC (I think)

Plastic DVD cases in HMV come in packs of three (no jokes please) at 2.99; so just under a pound in the shops. I imagine the VHS cases are similar.

Thanks again:
BUT, it's not so much the difficulty or otherwise of finding sleeves, it's the reasoning behind certain companies' insistence on sending out their poor li'l vids naked into the hard, cruel world that's puzzling me.
I'm all for reducing packaging to save the rainforest and little cuddly bushbabies etc, but not to the point of nullity. If I buy 20 Rothmans, I don't expect them loose, or shoved willy-nilly into a banana-leaf, I want them in a fairly sturdy box.
S'not much to ask, is it?
