Her performances, were as you say, RAW, NATURAL, talent.
NO-ONE could sing/play her kind of music. It was inimiccable, as was she herself.
The days of great lady singers are gone, never to return.
Nina, Billy, Peggy, Ella, Bessie & a couple others rightly belong in that great Great recording studio in the Sky, presided over by The Angel Gabriel and his No.1 henchman - Lord Louis of Satchmo.

iwas only 12 when i 1st heard her aint got no-i got life from hair,to love somebody etc,does anyoneknow who recorded my baby just cares for me before nina was it doris day?,dinah shore?

I only heard Peggy Lee died last week ! 'is that all their is' is my fave song ..... did you ever see Diana Washington live ?...id love to have seen her sing.

elton,was that the 1 about the circus peggy lee sang,over the easter weekend i was up till 2.30 am listening to 40s music and the earliest was peggy lee singing why dont you do right?in benny goodmans band,also from 48 manana,golden earings

Its such a shame she died she was about to win the court case along with
Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Patsy Cline, Ella Fitzgerald, and Bill Haley.
