Does (or did) a very entertaining Saturday sports column for the Times, too.
The trouble with non-centred people like Evans (as opposed to the long-and-happily married Baker) is, they tend to start believing that all that money is theirs because they're special and very talented, rather than lucky,........

Spike was almost right: Evans has the one talent that is deemed valuable nowadays- that for self-promotion.

Just to get this right friends - I personally think Danny Baker is a genius - his old 'Morning Edition' show on R5 was the best Radio I've ever heard (the R1 was good but not a patch on the original version). He also was by some way the best football radio presenter I've ever heard - in fact after him its very difficult to bother listening to any of the deadbeats plying their trade now. And the 'TV Heroes' series - every one a little gem. But I think he's happy to take the backseat and write for the likes of Evans and Deayton (in return for bucketloads of cash of course...) Deffo British broadcasting's loss...

All of these and more. Mind you, he did once say that if you legalised cannabis this country would'nt get out of it's fucking chair. Spot on, Chris.

Bollocks is it spot on. Cannabis is doing a rife old trade and most use it recreationally while doing a lot of things you couldn't do sitting down. It's another one of those old myths that go along with "cannabis would lead to heroin addiction', which of course is why there's 5 million heroin addicts in the UK....

I believe the man who got it spot on (and made the above point) is ironically Johnny Vaughan (who was far better then Evans on the old BB anyway)

I take it you're all for the legalisation of the demon weed.

But could you please define on what terms? I know people say it's no worse than fags and booze and should be placed within the same bracket, but both of those are brought to us by massive, worldwide corporate franchises that have been around for decades.

Or am I missing something?
