In a way, I sympathise with your gripe, Lizard, having posted an astoundingly serious, highly interesting and thought provoking item some months ago, to have not one response. Looking back, it was astoundingly boring and didn't deserve a response.
We all like to think that what we create is of earth shattering importance, and when it gets a luke-warm response we think "fuck 'em, what do they know?"
Wasn't it you who posted the item about the Best Looking Royals? And you, a Republican at heart?!!
The quality of posts is directly proportional to the time of the day and the amount of grape shovelling that has been taking place.
Simply skip over the posts that you think are crap.

The O/T forum was a pleasent suprise on my return to England. How many posts were deleted on the BGAFD forum because they were Off Topic? We all know Porn can get boring, hence topical discussions about anything BUT porn was a welcome sight.
We have all posted utter bollocks on the O/T forum, but thats what its here for, to discuss topics unrelated to porn that we might have in common. If you posted a querie regarding Porn Sites Liz, surely a better response would have been from the Official Forum, not O/T Forum.
Several posts look boring to me, and I skip past them. I agree S56 posts go off on a tangent at the earliest opportunity, and his posts are getting weary again, so I skip past them as you should.
The last thing we want is to all start bitching to the extent Woody and Alec call it a day with the O/T Forum and pull it, leaving us with just the Official Forum, and you know what THAT means..........Porn topics only, with no room to express an opinion regarding a shite TV programme.
Final thought, I visit the Official Forum regularly and post where necessary, but some 'die-hard' posters here could make an effort and visit the other site and support that with the occasional post.

I agree with Ace. If you find threads boring just skip them. Simple.

The other forum has also had its moments of tedium with industry folk fighting about wether LDM will work with Omar and the age old debate about wether brit-porn has become crap and "are modern girls lairy with tatoos" etc. Not to mention the constan requests for pic links etcBoth forums have their fair share of shite posts. I do sometimes post on the bgafd forum but only if some thread interests me and not just for the sake of it like I do on this forum. Thats the whole point I think.....to encourage unneccessary posts to be made here not there.

It does get a bit tiresome in here at times but thats what life is like. The average pub is full of such stupid conversations but the landlord doesnt try to dictate what punters can talk about.

I doubt the moderators want to spend half their lives deleting stuff purely because its o/t like they had to before the forum was split. So those who are crying out for more rules and regulations are not thinking this through properly. They will be the first people to be upset when one of their own "Pink Floyd" or "Beatles" thread gets deleted for having been discussed many times before.

I agree with magoo. If we were a bunch of people who met down the pub would it not be the same? The talk would be of football, what was on TV last night, what is good or bad in the pop world at the mo & may be what we think of the bird sitting in the corner drinking her Rum & Coke.

Guess there is no need to tell you that a dictionary states that a forum is: A place of public discussion. So if you want to talk porn you can talk about it in the Porn Room, anything else in here.

Fair comment Ace, I had thought about using the BIG forum for that post, but didn,t want it transfering over here, so it would have been answered with replies like- does anyone remember Steve Harley, or how often do forumites have a crap, and other brain addling remarks, I think really on reflection, it,s the standard of crap O/T posts that have suffered since the split.
