Do people agree that a lot of the voting is bias. Turkey & Cyprus vote for each other. The last few years the Baltic countries have voted for their neighbours (less eveident last night). I know that Turkish people have tried to rig the voting once, perhaps they managed it last night. You can not vote for your own country, but if you live in another country there is nothing to stop you voting for your own country. How many Turks live in countries like Germany now! The UK has no neighours so could not count any friendly country giving votes. I've seen worst performances than the UK gave last night & still get votes. Latvia were so happy to stage the contest last night that they threw in a crap song so that they don't have to do it again, just like Ireland who got fed up of winning cos it was costing so much money to stage.

Yes there were some great girls in the acts last night. The lead singer of The Netherlands outfit was enough to keep your attention on the screen.

I thought the Icelandic entry was a far better song that the winners & in another year could of won, & the lead sinner was quite a stunner too. I thought the lead singer from Bosnia was quite attrative too.

A lot of the overseas TV stations had attrative young ladies giving out the voting, the French having the best. Who did we have Lorraine Kelly!!!

Still The Eurovision Song Contest would not survive without all the money the BBC throw at it, so we will still be in the final next year.

Eurovisionary nerd here.

Didn't anybody notice the Turkish song 'borrowed' the strings riff from Holly Valance's "Kiss Kiss" tune (itself a cover of some Turkish thing) ? Possibly why people voted for it - it sounded familiar...

I agree about the mad Austrian, and was compelled to cast a vote or two.. does anybody know what he was on about? My German knowledge only consists of a few basic phrases, none of which are likely to be found in the lyrics to a Eurovision song... :)

Also hate to admit it, but Tatu really were in a different league to the rest.

Nobody's mentioned the Greek girl's tits yet...

Christ, I need to get out more.

I have just sat through an entire Eurovision and can say without a doubt
there are very few decent song writers writing these days

Bjorn & benny could write better songs with their hands tied behind their backs

Just goes to prove....pop music might be shallow but it is a bloody hard
thing to write

If Abba were to reform they would piss on this lot

Most acts were forgettable at best but a few showed real singing talent

Tatu wasn't among them...they will need more than a little bit of titillation to have them

As for the Belgium entry...a pity that there could only be 6 of them on stage as opposed to the usual band size of 16....an interesting and haunting sound which is why it rated IMO-it stood out from the usual pop crap-for whatever reason it reminded me of a song from Last of the Mohicans(1992)

My top four by talent....what its worth were

Israel...a complete performance

Germany...excellent energy...bagged by tatu

Portugal...what a voice

Norway...you can't beat a good ballad

You were right Magoo the UKs act was dreadful

The irish one was a bad IMO....boring to say the least

Who was it....Morris Minor & The Majors-Here Comes the Chorus or some such like

The good song writers still have the chorus but in between they have words of substance

cheers

Wogan is as big a xenophobe as exists on TV and thinks he has licence to do so at this pile of shite. Our song must be por if not even the most Westernised nations such as Netherlands, Sweden voted for us. I never watch it but if nowt else doing i will always watch the votes. The Blonde Spanish vote announcer with the black lacey garment on was a stunner and i wish i knew who she was
