No worries, Woodgnome. I appreciate being put right.

I have about four of the films Mr U worked on in my collection, including two of his last efforts---A Bridge Too Far and The First Great Train Robbery. Whatever anyone may think of the films themselves, the cinematography cannot be faulted.

Dredd wasn't the only one

British superheroes I hear you cry. What about the less talked about character from 2000AD

DEVLIN WAUGH..
With a mustache and left hook like that what more do you need? Not tomention someone with a catchphrase like "Prepare to face an Englishman with his dander up!" before (to quote Stone Cold Steve Austin) opening up a can of whoop ass.

JOHN CONSTANTINE..
A scoucer smoking Silk Cut and wearing a trenchcoat fighting the forces hell. True class.

TANK GIRL...
Well. Er she drinks and shags mutant Kangaroos.

Yep, Spidey was my favorite comic hero with Superman a close second. I don't know how The Hulk movie will play out. The trailers have some people thinking that the computer generated monster looks too animated or "cartoony" but how is a creature of that proportion and color (colour for my Brit friends) supposed to look? I'll pass judgement after I see the movie. And by the way, Daredevil was terrible.

IMO that both those films were classics is because they were tradgedies

I reckon I've seen Bridge on the River Kwai 15+ times & The Great Train Robbery 5 times Purely through watching late nigt TV.

IMHO this era of film making is never going to be seen again for the simple reasons of profits

The fact that such comedies as Friends take 19 million dollars to make per episode speaks doom and gloom to me

All actors say its the story that counts and I agree with them 100 %

Give me actors like Richard Harris,Oliver Reed and I will climb Everest to see him act-they are that good

Whats replaced these films with great acting...technology
Very Sad IMO...all they are looking is a face
