The point is that things like Big Bro and Skinner & Baddiel DO NOT upset me at all. They amuse me because they are so crap. They add to the rubbish side of modern culture.

The things that do upset me and make me angry such as third world starvation, US foreign policy, inequality and injustice and stamping on cute little bunnies do make for interesting debate but are not funny like BB or Baddiel. We have had our fill of "serious stuff" after all our debates during the pointless war in Iraq.

So the BB and celeb stuff is just light relief after some fairly heavy debates where a few of us had the bottle to face the wrath of the forumites by not toeing the Bush/Blair line. And I notice the pro war section of the forum have said fuck all about us finding no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Dubyas right wing jewish think tank (I forget the name of the orginisation but our BBC Panorama featured it recently and it is a group of neo-conservaive jews with far too much influence over the US government) is now suggesting we might have to look in a few more countries to find these weapons. Oh incedentally, whenever anyone criticises that groups policies they play the race card of anti-semitism which now results in people being frightened to challenge thier hawkish views. People are now scared to say "neo-conservative"(a meaningless term anyway) incase they are accused of anti semitism.

As Holden has already stated our silly slagging of these aspects of modern life is supposed to be amusing. The posts which you and Woodgnome have mistaken for bitter and venom filled are actually just a bit of juvenile silliness.
