Connery was the most plausable, but surely the special effects is what these films are about nowadays.

Who can tell the difference between the first and the last
All as predictable as each other
Now a spy saga like the Eiger Sanction(1975) pisses on any of the Bond films IMO
I wonder what type of James Bond Clint Eastwood would have made?
If I were picking the best Bond Film
Which ever one starred George Lazenby

hi buttsie,i remember the eiger sanction he was set up in that wasnt he by george kennedy,greg walcott was good as support i recall him from 87th precint yrs previous,it had its funny moments too wen the girl flashed her tits at clint and by the time he caught up with her he was too tired to do anything,yes great film.

Definetly Timothy Dalton. He acted Bond the way Fleming intented him to be, an angry, bitter, occasionally twisted bastard. As for the arguments that he was too serious just think about his job, secret agent for HRH. He should be deadly fucking serious. Not like that tosser Roger Moore.

the 1st james bond in casino royale was played by barry nelson?didnt know meself till 3 yrs ago i was looking in tower records the video was on 1 of the shelves,peter lorre was also in it as the baddie.

Bond trivia#2: Who came in and sorted out the lighting on the oil tanker interior when set designer Ken Adam ran into difficulty? One of his old employers, Kubrick.

Last Word I think you maybe mistaken about the first actor to play bond, he was the first British actor to play Bond (it was in a raido serial) but the yanks made a film/tv series of Dr. No about two years after the book was released. If memory serves the guy who played the first Felix Lighter played Jimmy Bond CIA operative.
