Yeah the soundtrack was stunning and the score blew me away. I spent so many waking hours learning how to play Captive child, although I stopped before the guitar smashing scene took over.
The soundtrack is responsible for the Soundtrack boom. After The Crow, everyone was trying to cash in on an MTV soundtrack base, and most if not all have sucked.
I got lucky and managed to get 2 copies of all the comics, but just the one set of the originals in both printings...so what? I'm sad and don't collect porn so I need an outlet;)

As for your tat, I've designed my own Crow image that I'm having transferred to my arm.
Just have to get over my fear of needles first; "OK Holden, you may feel a bit of a prick"...so what else's new!

Well I would never even watch the Crow sequels on principle, I remember going to see the original, in a tiny Odeon cinema, and I and the whole packed crowd was mesmerised by the whole film, the atmosphere was fantastic, Brandon Lee was superb in that, his finest role, and how the fuck they followed it up I don't know, I would'nt even bother with part 2 or the rest, but I bet T3 was fucking better than Crow 3 that's for sure!

Marco Beltrami is responsible for killing the scores on both Part 3's...Marco, a word FUCK OFF and don't touch any more part 3's.
Hammered the final nail into both respective lids.

If you actually watch T3 and not with the attitude 'It's shit' before you see it, it's actually ok. The plot descepancies are explained away in a cool fashion (except for Sarah Connors death) and it all comes together. It's a pretty good film (NOT movie!)
Whereas I love(d) the crow, but watching it now it's an embarassment. The cringeworthy dialogue, Brandon Lee's hammy performance, some pretty poor effects and it looking fuck all like the comic!

I watched it open minded.
Are you telling me that within 5 minutes you didn't think it was bollocks?
The whole sunglasses shit?
The lack of any reasoning and sudden convience of everything?
The whole intro of Connor & the Terminators???
Come on man, it sucked within minutes.
The Crow was damned inpressive seeing as Brandon died before they could finish it!
Miracle it didn't just get shelved.
Hammy acting? Kidding right?
As for the comic, it could never have been made panel for panel as it was too violent and extreme.
It would have been amazing to see that on the big screen but shit happens.
Some amatuer film maker tried to do it but Pressman gave a legal bitchslap to stop it.

Just to be a bit more objective about T3 here's my opinion for what its worth

Plus points are
- Arnie,
-a great and hugely destructive car chase sequence,
-a brave downbeat ending for a major Hollywood movie (yes I do know it's made by an independent but you know what i mean)
-The ending should hopefully end the sending-back-a robot-to-kill-John-
Conner narrative that all 3 three films have and push T4 in a new story
direction.


HOWEVER!

Minus points,
-They've not used the original music from the first 2 films,
-The effects are not of the jaw dropping variety that we saw in T2
-Too jokey
-Nowhere near enough decent action set pieces.
-too short (just over 90 mins)

It's not the event movie that T2 was but it's entertaining enough to divert you from life's problems on a saturday night.

The original film in any franchise is the best 99 times out of 100.
Although I enjoyed T2 and T3 the original Terminator is one of the all time action classics.
The only sequel that I reckon is better than the original is Aliens.
He may have gone on to direct crap like Titanic but in The Terminator and Aliens, Jim Cameron has given us two of the most memorable films in cinema history.

Superman II is better than 1, empire strikes back (tho not a sequel) is better than a New hope. Batman Returns is better than Batman...etc

and lets not forget the The Godfather vs The Godfather Part 2!!!
