sounds likes a similar service going to be offered by blueyonder as NTL and Blueyonder are partners in cable TV, think I'll stick with 512kbps for ?25/mth 1024kbps is good but not worth ?50.

Matt,
Remember the downside, most people have "normal" or BB and can only receive at their own speed. Your transmission speed is irrelevant

Most 'normal' people being from this country? In the states, a far higher number of people piss on our primative connections speeds - it's those people I'm after, which I thought would have been obvious.

If you are on a file sharing site, and chose a file from somebody with a fast connection when you are on the same there is a noticable difference in download duration. In the old days of Napster I could download a song in the same time as it would take to play the song.
