If you were in Toxteth (Liverpool) they would ONLY feature broken windows.

Jimmy Nail.......Egotistical ponce with no talent. Everyone in AW Pet pissed on his acting 'skills'

It was Dougal the dog who ate the sugar. Ermintrude the cow ate Flowers.

Never understood Mr MacHenry's part in it, apart from whizzing about on a bike....so he must of been on speed.

Dylan seemed to be spaced out all the time.

As for Florence, Zebedee & Brain.....well what can you say!!

They brought back the Star Trek franchise very successfully, didn't they. A film based on the old series S.W.A.T. is nearly upon us - and the early word isn't good. Then there's the Starsky and Hutch film, plus amazing rumours of a Dr Who film starring Anthony Hopkins.

However, the one show they should really consider bringing back - especially now this wretched celebrity culture shows no signs of slowing down - is Spitting Image.

Spitting Image, yes----I know satire's supposed to work best under a Tory government, but Tone is close enough.

Dr Who, yes---but with a dark, sinister Alan Rickman rather than hopeless Hammy Hopkins.

And if you're talking about hopelessly drugged up children's characters, what about The Herbs? Dill was on speed, while Parsley was definitely partaking of the mellow weed.

I'd suggest Fingerbobs as well, but wasn't he the Bee Gee that died recently?

I read that filming the 3rd series was a VERY testing time between Tim Healy and Jimmy Nail. Healy (one of Tynesides finest next to a 'young' James Bolam) was irked at Nails constant on going demands and I also read Kevin Whately likened Nail's demands to J-Lo's. Bet there won't be a fourth series

Sad slag that I am, I actually enjoyed Spender at the time. Loved the theme to it as well.
Regarding the knuckle dragging thing; thought I was the only one to sus that.
They did a special once. A one off set in France. The French Collection?
His lowly waged cop character was driving around in a top of the range Merc..wages must be good up there!
I liked the guy that played Stick. Ferret looking dude.
