Suprised no one mentioed The Full Monty, surely one of the most OVER-RATED films ever. That was based in Sheffield. I remember the intro with the glossy colour promtional tour of Sheffield in the 1960's looking vibrant and exciting and then switching to 'now' looking bleak and derelict.
I suppose that sums up many cities these days
