To get the versatility of a PC on your remote it would need to be about 8 ft square: look at my tiny Sony WAP phone: it's got so many functions it can take 10 minutes for me to perform one simple operation.........then again I am the original TechnoBarbarian.
PC has the other options beaten hollow at present for price/
accessibilty: shouldn't do more than ?300 for a decent s/h system.

Ok JJ stupid me forgot to mention 5 remotes and a keyboard for the computer

Got to say when i make the move i'll miss the coffee mug tray which fits so nicely in the hardware.(so thats where the cd roms go.)
