When Glam was big, and it WAS, Bowie and Bolan did look pretty with make-up and spandex, but The Sweet still looked like Navvies from a building site with make-up and spandex. Some good riffs though, you have to say that.
Did anyone see the biography of the singer Brian Connolly a few years back after his 4 heart attacks and subsequent strokes? He was a mess, and I was thankful death put him out of his misery.

was it true mark mcmanus was his halfbrother?,that one dressed as a copper looked like a navvie,and what about alice cooper he was ok really evreybody said oh hes terrible frightening he turned to be more sensible than some as did alvin stardust better than gary glitter really he was just a joke and later a perv.

A VERY intelligent person. Was a journalist before started singing. His dad was a minister. Saw a niche in the market for theatrics and exploited it to the max. Mary Whitehouse tried to ban him from the UK, but relented after meeting him and had a really nice chat over a coffee. She even brought a copy of 'Elected' to show her support.

think without a doubt they summed up the 70s really aladdin sane/diamond dogs were his best,roxys albums too and the 1st 2 cockney rebels,schools out/billion dollar babies from alice cooper as well.

Alice is a very respected golfer as well. Plays off scratch, which to you and me, means he is VERY good indeed. Used to play with ex-President Ford on a regular basis.
