Problem is if you don't allow yourself to watch subtitled films you're missing out on some truly fantastic ones especially if horror is your thing. And all you'll see is watered down US versions of excellent foreign ones.

Why not treat yourself to seeing 'City of God' and 'Amores Perres' too! Not horror but fabulous nonetheless

Believe me you'll thank me for it!

Stick wrong end of, Terry. I thought the statement might be applicable to most genres, and also if you had any US horror films in mind that bucked the trend. Sorry if it wasn't clearer.

La Haine & Man Bites Dog would be a good start for a Droog, methinks. Fair bit of ultraviolence each.

If you just want plain old nasty check out italian zombie and cannibal films - some of these are really REALLY unpleasant and deeply offensive for those of us who find real life animal mutilation and torture utterly objectionable.

Agree. Saw AUDITION last night, fantastic. No idea what the ending meant but it was a blinding last 30 mins.

And all 3 RING films are masterpieces (ring pieces?)

There's an opening here for me to tell you all that you will all die within seven days of reading this.
