Used to be a good show before they changed the format to that of a soap opera

Bring back 'The Thin Blue Line'

Agreed. One classic, back in the days of the 25 minute format, had two regular characters (Boyden and Page) on night shift discovering the bodies of a woman and her baby at the foot of a tower block, and a spellbinding performance by Dougie Henshell as the man who, inadvertently, caused their deaths. No scenery chewing, no dramatic music, just quiet and chilling television.
But then I'm a graduate of the Z Cars school of policing.
