The difference being that for the Scottish National Side to be competitive needs Rangers & Celtic to do what Ajax has done for the Netherlands
Unless this occurs how are any potential Scots going to get into the English Premier League and fully develop
It wasn't that long ago that England had a woeful National Side under Graham Taylor in the early nineties
Seems to have turned around with Man U bringing through 5/6 youngsters in the early nineties....scholes,butt,neville brothers...but it took time to develop them to the players they now are
Now they seem to have a plethora of players to pick from in all positions apart from a left sided midfielder
The message....invest in youth or wither and die
Its taken Australia 3 failed World Cup campaigns to finally realise this
Sure you need experience in a team but never underestimate what a shot in the arm youthful exuberance can bring....Harry Kewell was ours...Michael Owen was Englands...Who will it be for Scotland & Wales?
cheers
