I do believe your right

I'd expect that Police Song-don't stand was about an experience teaching

PS How you can judge somebody that you've never met and only seen & heard on TV,In Concert or Tead about is beyond me

So what you're saying is :

1. Unless you meet/live/sleep with someone, you cannot possibly know or make a judgement about them ? Makes the whole literary genre of biography or autobiography a complete waste of time and effort then.

2. Sting will save the world. I go to sleep reassured.

To state the obvious, it's a case of judging them through what they do, which, for those in any creative venture, will often drift into personel judgement due to the self-reflective/revealing nature of their given medium. In Sting's case, songs and stuff. Fragile is lovely, but that car ad was deplorable and largely hypocritical considering his prior concerns. Bono - slagged off elsewhere - at least had the good grace to give his very best song (She's a Mystery To Me) to Roy Orbison.

I'd also be more convinced if they sold some of their multimillion Malibu multistorey megamansions, for the good of the cause.
From those to whom much is given, etc......
And I wish he'd shut up about Tantric sex- all that yogic guff is positively detumefying: a bit like his scary missus, then.

Thats just a silly WillieBo...another extreme view and you know it

By all means attack his actions & creations but leave the character assassinations to those that know him
