I'm sorry to have to tell you ID that Madeley was indeed charged with walking out of a supermarket with a full trolley of beer and wine. Somehow he got off with it saying he had been dazed and confused (or was that tired and emotional ?). It was a judicial outrage matched only by letting OJ Simpson off.

I really don't think people on this forum are anti-celebrity per se. It's just that the modern world's full of people as manifestations of Warhol's dictum. And most of them especially those on tv are complete pompous twats, devoid of real talent.

With Madeley as one of those who is utterly plastic and fake : self-important, faux-intelligent, oh look I can be controversial, I'm a real journalist I am.

i see WillieBo....i ironically am anti-celebrity in general, but specifically most appear largely harmless hence my inquisitiveness about richard madeley....i still wanna know what frank skinner, kielty, baddiel have done that actually pisses ppl off. baddiel only said something on that What Not To Wear prog that i forget but was q. insulting to the working class. jut cant rememeber what it was, but thats all
