And it was on Channel Four last weekend, Steve.
Good Cruise performances/films? Magnolia, Born On The Fourth Of July, Colour Of Money (maybe playing an arrogant tosspot wasn't a stretch, but Newman would have acted him off the screen anyway) and his gently moving portrayal of a poor Irish immigrant in America in the subtle Far And Away (note, heavy irony employed here for those incapable of recognising same).
