You'd love the story about one of our government's main architects---that slimy greaseball Peter Mandelson. He represents a seat in Magoo's neck of the woods, the monkey-hanging town of Hartlepool which has a strong working class electorate that is in complete contrast with his nouveau cuisine, Islington style. Anyway, to try to get some good local press, he stepped into his local fish and chip shop and bought some cod and chips, to look suitably northern and proletarian in spite of his designer suit . . . . but then he spotted something of a delicacy. "Ooh, and I'll have some of the avocado dip," he said, pointing to the carton of mushy peas.

Funny eh! all Americans have heard of sheperds pie, I actually think it,s crap, unless home made, if you order it in a cafe (S56 will concur) the meat content is about 2%, the rest is re-constituted potatoe and anything that looks like a vegetable, and bizzarely even though it is topped with mash potatoe, you still get chips with it :-)

ps, an Irish mixed grill is, chips, roast potatoe, mashed potatoe, baked potatoe......etc.

ID, what's this about dodgy petrol and lawn mowers ? I get my lead-free for my mower and all the rest of the garden gear from Sainsburys. Are you saying it's not what it should be ? I've not noticed a problem as yet.

spoken to a few lawnmower retailers and repairers and a family friend who runs a garage has also said that supermarket fuels have an additive that can cause problems and when switched to a proper station things were ok again......we had problems with our mower but its just got a bit of a chug to it....
