Quite simply brilliant, brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye.
Very very good, it those little looks into the camera that does it really,
you feel that you know the characters really well.

I didn't realise that Dawn (Lucy Davis) is Jasper Carrott's daughter until
I saw the outtakes of series 2. Well done Tim alls well that ends well.

Cheers CC.

yeh i couldnt agree more. i think the show wouldntve worked as well without Tims responses to david/gareth/keiths ridiculousness. theres a scene in one of the episodes from ages ago where tim looks around the people in the conference looks at the camera with total bewilderment - was classic. that look epitomised the whole show. sad to see it go, but shows great class to finish it - great to see that fawlty towers etc arent completely consigned to not having any modern classics joining them

yeah, aussies and humour, don't really go hand in hand, but there is one decent aussie comedy on at present called 'Kath & Kim' on small-time freeview satellite channel FTN. They're actually taking the piss out of themselves!! unheard of.

yes, brilliant. and a suprise (slightly emotional) ending with tim & dawn, poor old Lee. ha ha.

For me The Office really is the best. Always thought Fawlty Towers was overrated, sorry John Cleese but silly walks just don't cut it anymore (same goes for Monty Python-american's love it, says it all really), its quite funny but never really made me laugh out loud like The Office does. My favourite was probably 'Only Fools..' before The Office came along.

Fact.

I thought the whole show was sheer quality. The only downer was the almost total absence of the very hot Stirling Gallacher who played the smouldering and downright sexy Jennifer Taylor-Clarke apart from brief almost cameo appearances right towards the end of the second and last "special". She has an amazing pair of legs on her and is quite a babe in my opinion. The scene in series 1 where she's in Brent's office and does the leg crossing bit a la Sharon Stone is hilarious...

Lets wait and see if The Office is still being played in 25 years time as to wether its up there with the other Memorable Comedies

I personally can't see it being so but then I didn't find it funny just annoying

Each to his own

cheers
