You are referring to the "major" chain sex shops et al. The LDM was made by an emminently respectable producer and advertised for exactly what it was.

The old expression "let the buyer beware" springs to mind! If you don't buy carefully (whether it's a video or a house) you shouldn't blame anyone but yourself. Specially as this Forum will help you make a choice of title or supplier. If you buy "shite", it's probably your own fault - take it up with your supplier. If he has falsly described the goods, go and see Trading Standards. If you bought "under the counter", you took a calculated risk. This Forum is surely not a dumping ground for the "shite" you bought carelessly! Generally in life, if you deal honestly with honest suppliers you should both be happy. Those suppliers who routinely sell shite will soon enough, get their houses burnt down!

It may be an offence in the case of a porn tape as he is not a licensed sex shop, but it is not an offence against copyright. I've not heard of hundreds of outraged authors blockading Hay-on-Wye because they sell second hand books there.

Surely if the guy was duping the LDM tape he would have written - "I CAN SUPPLY COPIES OF" instead of offering the one movie. I understand the implication of breaking copyright and agree with some of the above posts, however, hundreds of original movies gets bought or exchanged via this forum, so why all the hassle over this ONE tape???
