If we didn't have guns, then that % would drop.
Those really wanting guns would still be able to get them.
If they were freely available over here, then I do believe the problem would get out of hand very quickly.

You only have to look at the bastard youth of today, where owning a gun is a fashion "thing".
Even owning lighters in the shape of a gun is considered cool.
There are plenty of cases over here, where the cops have opened fire and killed someone who has brandished a lighter gun.
The perp has had the nerve to hold someone at fake gunpoint. Then the perps family start bitching and saying "It was only a lighter."
I'm like: ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MINDS!
How the hell are the cops supposed to guess!

Had it been a real gun, perhaps they would have taken a few with them.

I'm sick of the families in such cases slagging off the cops. They never say, "Damn, didn't our Dave fuck up or what."

I'd hate to imagine the UK having gun laws like America.
Whenever there have been riots in the states and looting has started, shop owners come out and open fire.

The major concerns for any western society should be crap indredients
in processed foods

You can't force people to exercise but you can make the processed food industry lower the saturated fats in their foods that are making many obese

Guns are very in your face because they can cause instantaneous mayhem

I liken Cars to a Guns but apart from new drivers being given tougher tests to pass and manufacturers building safer cars the yearly epidemic goes on

If young men(16-25) are those most involved in fatalities then why aren't the laws changed to make them change their behaviour

You'd almost say that this group should be on probation until they reach 25

Its still beyond me why cars can do speeds greater than the maximum speed limit on our major highways-revenue raising maybe

Fine if there are highways(Germany & Northern Territory Australia)
which have an open speed limit but otherwise its just pure studpidity
and asking for fatalities

If you were to do a check of the UK's statistics, you'd probably come up with the same suspects responsible for deaths: cancers, strokes, heart disease, diabetes et al. What you wouldn't find is anywhere near the same percentage per population of gun-related fatalities. So, in fact, the figures prove nothing except that, taking away natural causes, gun-related incidents are a huge killer of Americans.
