Not necessarily the technology Bruce (unless your going the HD - High Definition route) but the people who can actually use it in a competent and artistically imaginative way are - these people are almost always found in California or the video/3D/SGI studios in Soho, which is where most of this type of work at a professional level is carried out.

Hi Bruce,
Not Really the cost of this
technology has been falling for some time, I have over 100,000 k of software, and have worked on many things for other people, long hours little pay, so that kind of effort i am not affraid of, it may have to consider just making a short teaser, 5 - 10 minutes, just to show something, but I hear what your saying making money can be difficult, but with some projects its not the money that is the driving force, its doing something that acts as a vehicle for other things.
there is a semi HD camera available for under 3k, by JVC, 1280x720, resolution 2 streams of that to create the stereo image would be ideal, however with the other device i have mentioned(mini-35) it is possible to force the 3D effect even more by using the field of focus to pull out the subject, increasing the 3D effect further, the mini 35 is 17k, to buy but a hoem made one can be done for under 1500, now 2 of those devices recording the footage would give a really good 3D effect, but the technology for viewing would then be limited also, so you would probable do alternate prints for the other viewing methods,
but as a showreel to get the attention of some people I cant think of anything else I have to offer to get a foot in the door.
Maybe there is no door to get my foot in and it has to be independant, a the thing that has stopped me releasing any footage shot in the past to the duplicating masses is knowing that it would get copied far more times than I got paid,
One Play DVD (or Pay Per View DVD is possible but dont ask me how) there is always a crack for something.
