I have to add my weight to what others are saying. Chaptering
is a must for DVD features, even if it adds significantly
to the price (though, that suggests to me that whoever is
doing your DVD mastering may be pulling a fast one).

Whatever peoples' views on Cathula, I would hope we could
agree that it has good production values (setting, lighting,
camera, editing, talent).

A lot of mass-market DVD players, including the PS2 and
the one installed on my PC, fast-forward at maximum of x4
speed - so if I want to see the last scene of Cathula,
a hour-and-a-half feature, I need to spend 15 minutes
spooling through to the right point. The production
investment you made on that last scene will be wasted
on me.

Why are DVD players like that? Because the fast-forward/
rewind buttons are there to supplement the next/previous
chapter buttons - not substitute for them!

You could say "invest in a better DVD player" but as
a consumer I could respond "I am going to buy an
alternative product."

I say this in all politeness as someone who has bought
Pumpkin films before and hope they continue to thrive
in a market dominated by "gonzo."

Vive la Difference ... or something like that.
