But you must be right about the other two coz the Govt is about to shut them down , we cant afford to replace all the bombs they have dropped .

It is a virtual certainty that if you give a group of people complete power over another group of people then some abuse will take place.
If you add to this general certainty the fact that many people view untried Arabic prisoners as tried and convicted terrorists (see the wave of internet comments describing guantanamo inmates as terrorists - presumably on the basis that if they're in prison then they are guilty) - add to this the fact that some of the squadies will have some very odd backgrounds, be generally poorly educated and will possibly have suffered a difficult childhoods.
So you've got a group of people, some of whom may not be psychologically 100%, in complete control of people who they think are terrorists of the order of the Twin Towers scum.
The US/UK armies must have known that without extreme vigilance abuse of prisoners would take place - and if evidence of such abuse was released, as it almost inevitably would be, it would be extremely bad news for their status in Iraq.
The "higher-ups" in the army have failed to put in proper procedures for the treatment of prisoners. Without these procedures, cases of abuse would be inevitable and to put the whole of the blame on a few "bad apples" who are "un-American" is simplistic at best - although those "bad apples" are certainly not entirely blameless.
Basically - a failure in military leadership has made the lives of American soldiers more difficult in Iraq. It is not the fault of journalists who report on the abuses. Although clearly Piers Morgan made a serious mistake and had to go - and whoever was responsible for the Mirror hoax pics should face serious consequences.

Of course there have been random abuses but not systematic abuse/interrogation as happened at this one prison
A recent report by a US Reporter said that the Intelligence Outfit assigned
to this prison was an elite Commando outfit from Afghanistan with orders to capture the enemy and use what ever means to make them talk
As I said the truth will come out eventually
The amount of evidence points to something other than a few random events IMO
I think the British sitiation has just been tagged on due to that idiot Piers Morgan-if guilty he should be put in uniform and sent to Iraq-dickhead.No doubt some abuse happened but I doubt it was along the lines of the American Prison given how stable Basra was compared to the rest of Iraq

It's late and I've drunk a lot of wine so I can't do the search but wasn't there an experiment in the States where one group of students were told to treat another group as if they were jailers/prisoners and it got so nasty it had to be terminated.
