It doesn't matter where or when you started listening to it - the important thing is to enjoy it.

I don't know if you like vocal works but can recommend what I think is Barber's masterwork 'Knoxville : Summer of 1915' for orchestra and soprano. It is beautiful, and set to a superb piece of prose by James Agee.

His violin concerto is very good as well and is coupled on EMI with Howard Hanson's 2nd Symphony, the 'Romantic'. A superb piece this, and used in the film 'Alien' to excellent effect.

I expect many people listen to the music on films without perhaps knowing the piece they're enjoying to be a classical work.

You'll find out when BT starts accepting reptilian customers (see my earlier posts re electricity, gas, strawberry milkshakes, hydrochloric acid, various other utilities, etc, etc, etc).

Seriously Foreigner were okay until they release slushy ballads and then suck!! Some good bands have been ruined by ballads and dodgy haircuts.
I remember Bryan Adams being touted as a new Springsteen, and Reckless is far better tha Born In The USA. Live he was brilliant.........until he releases slushy crap that sells commercially, but divides his following.

Journey were crap, all said and done, and there's only ONE Mr Perry, and thats Joe from Aerosmith..................before THEY started to release poncey ballads

Re the British Airways music.It is called The Flower Duet from the opera Lackme by the composer Delibes.It was used in the film The Hunger (the scene between Catherine Deneuve & Susan Sarandon). and i am sure there was a cd film soundtrack.I hope this helps you track it down should you wish to buy it.

Still think Deneuve used a body double. But it was hot!
