believe it or not we do leave our stations occasionally - sometimes for several hours!

as for reinstating anything: sorry - no can do. the road to hell is paved with good intentions and if we did it for you, etc...

if it's any consolation, yours is not only masterpiece to be cut down in it's prime. poor old officer dibble has seen entire novellas consigned to oblivion with barely a soul having read 'em.

There's maybe a qualitative difference between lying (or wilfully misinterpreting what you have been told), and fabricating evidence.

For me, Gilligan and Morgan are just a pair of shits.
But then, so are most of the BBC and half of Fleet Street, and 99% of the Commons.......
