The only reason I am even remotely conscious of the fact that such a pathetically dismal attempt at 'entertainment' exists is because it is inescapable amongst the complete dross and froth that constitutes most of modern mass-media output.
Neither have I ever watched anything called The OD, or Pop Tarts, or Constipation Street, or ScragEnders, or anything at all with Robson Greene, that bald bloke who thinks acting means shouting 'you slag' all the time, Amanda Thingy (the Irish one), or anything to do with hospitals, the police, or the courts, witless game shows, regurgitations of old clips masquerading as a coherent programme, talking-head shows with X-list microcelebs, or the Six O'Clock news on Beeb 1.

The Democrats use interns who do it as a matter of principle , the Republicans pay for rent boys as they believe in Market economics . Over here we use a system of unpaid footmen who live on bank loans then pay them off and show a profit by writing a book and selling it's serialisation rights to the Sludge or News of the Screws .
