Actually , wasn't it a butterfly , symbol of summer and nature in the middle of Sarumans dark satanic mills?
I'm surprised no one else in the forum has noted that Tolkein never mentions the bogs , I mean maybe elves and orcs don't shit , but the age of men meant the age of toilets.
