We were robbed - perfectly good goal - but it would have been hard on the Portuguese who were much better over the 90 minutes.

It was still a perfectly good goal and the reaction (and the Swiss ref's reaction when he sees the TV replay) is going to be interesting. As Alan Hansen said, the ref was miles away and the linesman gave it as a goal.

When are we going to get a bit of luck on a football pitch? (OK, I'll give you that last minute equaliser against Greece to qualify for the last World Cup).

Whoever decided that there would only be two days between the qualifier and quarter-final also needs their arse kicking. We looked tired.

There IS a very big incentive not to cause trouble in Lisbon - if there's trouble, we could well be thrown out of the World Cup.

yeh i know what you men mutant mate but it coulda been the other linesman. What really pisses me off is how a referee is alllowed to just overrule a linesman without question. the 3rd umpire thing is seriously needed to get rid of injustice or t least someone official from the EUFA? or whoever the fuck is in charge of these things should be able to call a halt to proceedings. just typical football refusing to get with the times.
