For accomodation you could try Hotel Delta on Damrak, about 100 yards from Central Station - comfortable B&B and was raesonably priced last time I stayed there. Teasers Bar is about 20 yards nearer the Station and is good for a laugh, but the girls only seem to work during the summer season;-) The Banana Bar is OK, but the Casa Rosa is better - as one of the salesmen said - Lots of sleaze and filfth - or just broaden your horizons. Its usually a pretty good show - usually 4 strippers and 2 sometimes 3 couples ifyou are really lucky on your visit they sometimes also have a les show as well. 15 Euro for a dry ticket - i.e. no drinks or 25 Euro for a wet ticket - i.e. four drinks included. Note you cannot buy any drinks inside the theatre. If the main theatre is busy - you can tell by the coloured lights running from the sales booths - red lights - theatre full - green lights - room inside. If its full you are directed to s smaller theatre across the canal - but usually no couples there.
For vids and DVD avoid the chain shops - they all have a similar front so you can tell which they are. In the Red Light area there are, from memory only three or fout independent ones. Of these avoid the Erotic Cellar, one of the staff - from Manchester I think is a bit of a con man. I saw him do a few dodgy sales to Brits in coverting ?'s to euros/guilders. The best one I have found in the Red Light area is ABC Video - at
O.Z.Voorburgwal 155 at the Dam Square end of the Area. Excellant selection and reasaonable prices -I picked up several Ben and Private DVD for between ?15-?20 on my last visit. Day time is best, because the staff are very knowledgable, evening less so. If you have a favorite pornstar, just ask and they will run the name through their computer and tell you which DVD or Video they have in stock. The Caligula shop almost next door is in the same ownership so sometimes ABC staff will fetch you a DVD etc. from Caligula and vice versa.

In my many trips to Amsterdam, I have never been fortunate enough to see a lesbian show, not even in Casa rosa. The smaller show over the canal has always had couples in each time I have been there, but obviously I have been lucky.
The peepshows can be good, single girls mostly and there are couples on at advertised times. Watch where you are standing in the booths, quite alot of guys wank off in there, although they are cleaned out fairly regularly.
The prostitutes will also put on private vibro shows if required and will also do lesbian shows, (but the lesbian shows aint cheap).

To visit the Sex Museum - a really excellent and interesting experience.

Make sure you go to the main one though - not the small one.

Ooops - sorry should have said a wet ticket for the Casa Rosa is 40 Euro - approx ?24 - and the DVD and Video varied between ?15 and ?28 - the very new stuff especially from Private was at the top end of that scale - some of them I hadn't seen for sale in the UK.
