Thanks for posting Colin, I live in the middle of norfolk near the town of Fakenham so im about ...god, i dunno 40-50 miles from yarmouth prob. I think ive only ever been once in my life...lol not a fan.
indeed this area is dire in the winter, its great in the summer tho, but as i said earlier in this post i was amazed how pretty the midlands were....i thought norfolk was meant to be some of the most scenic areas of england (except the obvious lake districts etc)

hi er..."mike", thanks for the info. according to AA Route Planner, Mansfield is 26.2 miles from derby and 14.7 miles from nottingham.

there seem to be a lot of big places all near each other in the midlands, a big dif to here where theres like 40-50 miles between each one and then theres only like 3 in this county lol

Ah, I see. In that case, I know doing a Uni foundation course gives you a headstart in getting onto their degree course, but do be sure to check out others if you do decide to take it further - Nottingham Trent is very highly regarded in its creative divisions, for instance. But you probably know all this already.

lol yeh nottingham trent is q. appealling. Its funny tho i seem to seeking out the mecca of student life (notts) when im the total opposite around here, like so anti-lad etc....weird. anyway i shalln't be going near media studies so u can put your gun away but thanks

i would only ever do a degree i could use to work in that field and thus only something id enjoy/love. media studies....hmm or art for that matter....nice lifestyle for 3 years but i would be too self consious telling people what my degree is not to mention the debt for lil gain.....

to be honest my minds jumping all over the place right now...one minute im thinking i should work another year...the next im thinking fuck it, ill go now and get in debt, then i think no ill wait and apply to nottingham next year and still have my derby acceptance....urgh i dunno....im gonna look at norwich... noooooooo
