Stuart fucking Maconie will be bouncing onto this thread on a space hopper any second now. With a packet of bloody spangles shoved into this know-all gob no doubt.

Rose Coloured Glasses are a wonderful thing

Should be called the Age of Innocence

I pity the kids of today...being born into an overly competitive winner takes all world where countries compete with each other for jobs

GREED....Perfectly illustrated by the top man Michael Eisner earning USD575 Million dollars for a years work at Walt Disney when the average worker there earned just USD25,000 and struggled to make ends meet

Decline of Competition/Small Business....Over the past 2 decades Big Business has basically put Small Business(Still the Biggest Employer-number wise) to the sword resulting in higher prices and more importantly
a decline in fulltime jobs and the emergence of part time & casual workers

Capitalism...once seen as the way forward for society is now sadly seen as a way for individuals to simply become rich

Co-operatives....IMO are the only way forward....if you don't include everyone from the poorest to richest in the plan then you might as well start sending the Brazilian death Squads around the streets to clean up those that have fallen through societies cracks

A recent Doco that I watched which looked at 2 companies from the same city Birmingham USA..same industry....highlighted this exact point

One has made huge profits but over the past 9 years has had 9 employess die and 4600 injured, more thna the rest of the industry put together.

cheers
