The person who has never gone ballistic at a malfunctioning computer has never used a computer.

If you want improvement then it starts with the hardware (CPU & RAM)
and ends with a clean out of your registry
Then theres the argument between Windows Operating Systems
For all the security pluses in using 98 it is still an unstable version when compared to the newer ones.
Free software is just tinkering on the edges
I agree Tune-up does a lot of stuff that you could do yourself IF you knew where to look.
Just like "98 lite"
Which is doing nothing more than removing programs you don't use
which you can do yourself if you know where to go

I never ceased being amazed by website designers who choose totally illegible colour combinations like white letters on a yellow background or vice versa. Don't they look at what they've designed?

Having never designed a website all I can think is that color blindness must be as big a problem as people not knowing left from right

If you install Opera (and probably other browsers) you can enlarge up to about 1000x- while IE5 has a drop-down for five or so degrees of enlargement, the default seems to be the largest size anyway.

Then he could count the pubic hairs(if any) residing between the legs of you know who's legs at breakfast time
The possibilities are endless

Erlas Syndrome....
Certain people suffer with differant derivaations of Erlas Syndrome, it's NOT Colour Blindness, cause my last Medical Eye-Sight Test, which included a Colour Recognition Test gave me a score of over 85%.
However, differant Colours together can cause havoc to people, like for me to read this test here causes me headaches & hard to read.
But if I was to read Yellw Text on Blue Background, or Purple Text on Pink Background etc, I have perfect reading, & my speed of reading various documents/webpages in these, & other unique schemes, are dramatically faster.
I design websites, & i have come across that situation, i have been known to do that as well, for certain reasons/people, so I can understand some ppl's problems with reading pages with such colour schemes.
