Thanks for that jewel steve56.
I don't expect you know but will be glad to learn that Children's clinics and nurses down here are names after a politician called Plunkett. I don't think he was a relation either especially since Blunkett starts witha B and Plunkett.....need I go on?

What is the story anyway? Can someone give ma link? I couldn't find anything.

Basically Mart, he has allegedely been knocking around with a mystery woman, and is leaving his missus to set up shop, I think the dog,s going with him, he is said to be over the moon, and head over heels, and all that other tabloid shit, I quite like Blunkett, he has a gaff near me, and it,s a nice part of the country, but then how would he know?

Thanks Lizard. I should have guessed it first appeared in the Screws. They always deal with important people (like Marino) don't they. What a load of bullshit that story is. The postings on the other forum about it sicken me.

But I see Blinky isn't leaving his wife because he is already divorced.
I'm not clear what the reference to the woman beiing the publisher of the Spectator means. Is publisher the same thing as owner?

It gladdens the heart when such a calculating, callous, knee-jerk, reactionary, fascist, micro-managing, invasive, paranoid twat such as Mr. Blunkett is spreadeagled on the front pages. Presumably given his track-record he will be introducing fast-track legislation to clamp down (further) on the tyranny of the free press and their destabilising impact on society ...

Or perhaps he'll just make up a terrorist plot to blow up something important - oh, I dunno, let's say Old Trafford (hey, it worked the last time) - to distract attention from himself.

He's also an ugly bastard, which gives hope to us all ... if he can get laid then perhaps we all can ...

From the Bristol Evening Post

"I am drawn, like a moth to the flame, to the comic possibilities of that nice Mr Blunkett's dalliance with a married woman, the subject of much newspaper coverage in recent days.

I mean, what did he see in her? Ah well, love is blind. And anyway, I always thought he was gay. Every time I see pictures of him he's holding some bloke's hand.

And for a man alleged to be the Government's most hard-working Minister, whenever he appears on the telly he's out walking his dog. How hard-working is that? "
