Yobs,Tramps call them what you like but in essence they've given up IMHO
Why else would you waste your time getting angry at people you don't even know-MENTAL ILLNESS maybe
Its estimated in Australia at present there are 800,000 cases of depression out of a population not even numbering 20 million
So much for our much vaunted easy going layed back persona
Mental Illness comes in forms and most go unnoticed
cheers

I've seen it for both sides Deuce, having to leave a job I loved because of mental illness, and suffering from Depression for many years, I even spent 3 months in a psychiatric hospital (got myself admitted), is disgusting in those places, the absolute bowels of the earth, they dope you up, and hope you shut up, as for therapy? I attended a so called art therapy class, there you go there's some pens, draw something, then they sat there and read the paper, the discrimination is terrible, a perfect example was the first time I cam home for a weekend, on the hospital supplied bus, driving through town, and I could'nt work out why everybody was staring, pulling faces as we drove by, after getting of the bus, I looked round only to see COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH TEAM plastered across the side in very big letters, as for care in the community? don't get me started!

I trust that on meeting a fellow potato lover you coughed up enough cash for his fries, on the understanding that he didn't put any salt, pepper or ketchup on them?

Any Medical facility is to be avoided if possible
Friend of mine was diagnosed with sever clinical depression due to stress and underwent shock treatment
The before & after was truly awful
Went in weighing 16 stone came out 12 months later weighing 9 stone
If hell exists on earth its in those places for certain
Every day after them has got to be a bonus
cheers

Yes was offered ECT (Shock treatment) but refused, even after all this time, they can't say exactly how it works, which is a bit frightening eh B? I guess having a load of volts pumped into your brain is gonna have some kind of effect for sure! I know it does to mine! I got a major one a few weeks ago when cleaning the inside of a video player, blew the fucker up as well, I must say I did'nt feel less depressed after, more really fucking ILL! lol
I've seen the damage that ECT (Electro convulsive therapy) can do, a girl on the same ward I was on was suffering from Anorexia, and was terribly ill, pencil thin, lovely girl though, stayed friends for a little while after I left, she had it a few times, and it made her worse, thanks fuck her husband pulled her outta there, and she got well on her own terms, drug therapy, sure it has it's benefits, I still have to take medication now, but I'd rather not, I was on Lithium once, and that is evil shit, my body could'nt tolerate it, and I was always puking etc, some people get on really well with it, but it's horrible, tastes like off fish paste as well!
