Ah, the old staple scottish diet, and jolly nice too, I have no Idea what I am having as I am going to some friends for dinner, it better be something substantial or I will cause a fuss, and never speak to them again.
I,m not very forgiving these days...

Bon appetit. Whatever it is, it's bound to be better than my artery-hardening diet.

I haven't heard TB2 yet (will d/l later), but I'm not a fan as such of these reprises. The usually fail.
John Peel recently tried to convey how revolutionary Elvis sounded to an Austerity Britain, and I and my age-group had similar feelings about TB- it was right in the middle of (mostly but not exclusively) banal glam-rock, from a risk-taker called Branson who was (it seemed) bucking the Establishment and who provided hassle-free, all-day listening for music fans on nice comfy cushions (the Notting Hill Gate branch was like a second home......). Sabbath, Yes, early F/Mac, Dr John, Mahavishnu, Capt Beefheart, the Winters, TYA, Wishbone Ash, tons of other stuff you'd never find in HMV.......
Now: two fat desperate fuckers trying vainly to recreate times past.
My ear will be jaundiced, pessimistic, yet strangely and irrationally hopeful...

The latest scores are:
Bat Out Of Hell 2, Tubular Bells 3
Even Neil Young got into it, assuming Harvest Moon was meant to be seen as a sequel to Harevest.
Just waiting for Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited Revisited, Who's Nexter, and The Number Of The Beast You Are Ringing Is Engaged (Please Hang Up).

Scotland qualify for the World Cup at England's expense, since you ask.
Or those Beslan Bastards don't get tortured for Eternity.

Wasn't the Birdie Song nicked for the theme to Sammy's magnum opus
"I Really Can't Be Bothered to Put on a Decent Show Because I'm Now Too Famous"?
Yours, Disappointed of Dulwich.
Oh, no: sorry: it was Verdi's 'Requiem'.
Silly me.

"The Number Of The Beast You Are Ringing Is Engaged (Please Hang Up)."
Classic! I actually quite like Tubular Bells pts 2 and 3 and I think I read that Jim Steinman is presently working on a third "Bat Out Of Hell" epic. If anybody remembers metal Gods Queensryche (The Seattle rock band that wasn't miserable!) they are also getting in on the follow-up act and are at present recording a sequel to their classic "Operation Mindcrime" album. Let's rock!!

......as long as it's not something too runny, or explosive.
Northern Emergency Response still has half its staff off sick with PTSD, after Liz's last takeaway.
RAF SAR has been put on Yellow Alert, and the Evacuation Plan upgraded accordingly.
Oh, good: bit of Haydn on the Proms.
That's better.
Yes, I know he was the Pete Waterman of his day.
But I don't care.
