So, that's a vote for Ralph Nader, then.

Here we go again.
"The rest of the world wants Bush out of office, but the rest of the world also wants to see the USA's power greatly diminished and does not give a shit if planes hit our buuildings in the future. As a citizen of this country..that does not sit well with me. You would not want to vote for having your own country's power diminished, would you? Of course not."
You are wrong Bimmercat. But paranoia/xenophobia would seem to explain much of the USA's behaviour.

I have the same dilemma in OZ on 9/10/04

Would be nice to have a third choice that represents the best interests of the country and not just their supporters

In OZ we are resigned every 4 years to Labor or Liberal

Both have shortcomings which because of their ideological driven agendas they will never over come so I see my only job at the voting box is not to give either complete power to implement their flawed policies

Which is where the one party that judges policy on merit and not ideology resides and thankfully holds the balance of power in the Senate...The Australian Democrats

Its all hypothetical

Just because kerry voted for the Invasion of IRAQ doesn't mean that he would have if he were President and He certainly wouldn't have bypassed the UN IMHO...thats a big difference

You've got to remmeber that politics is about give and take not conscience voting. So if you want support from others you need to back their legislation
Explains why politics is a dirty game and those that go into it with high ideals
are soon brought back to earth with a thud

Political party names seem to get mixed up world wide

In OZ Labor is basically the Trade Union Political front...the peoples party

Liberal is the Bosses Fraternity...The rich in other words

Democrats are the middle of the road that just preach good policy...created by a ex-Liberal in the 70s who was sick of the tweedle dee and tweedle dumb parties with the Motto...KEEP THE BASTARDS HONEST

Personally I think the Political names mean very little as policy positions in most parties have been moving towards the right for the past 20 years
