Security should be taken seriously---but there is the danger of crying wolf for political reasons. And I have to be frank, and say I'd mistrust much of what Bush, and almost all politicians, say. Professional liars, so why do we expect them to tell the truth?

Bush should bear in mind Lincoln's adage about fooling folk.
