Cate, is there any chance you could post a link to Moore's comments about this incident.
Either a direct quote or link to a news story.

Hi, Wish I could, I doubt his comments he made in England were even noted with any interest other then my own as I have a personal involvement in that comment, he made a number of comments aimed at stirring the college crowd, IE late entery of America in the war, America slow to act anyway and inafectual fighting force. Moore seems to get carried away when he is at one of these rallies, the crowd really pump him up and he accomodates them, if he wants to dabble in politics why doesnt he join the democrates, no wait they would not have him.
He praises Kerry during the election campaign yet when Kerry looses out he makes comments like we have to look at the way the democrates handled the election, and the person they put up for election, but it was Moore who almost single handedly run the Democrate campaign, should it not be him who should shoulder some of the flack?
Poor Kerry I almost felt sorry for him who did they roll out to support him, Bill I did not have sexual relations with that Women Clinton, oh well guess he aint going to be passing the cigars around.
Cate.

Of the Americans I have met, how many have I hated? Around none of them. The US government apparatus, and its tentacles of the CIA etc, I loathe.
Oh, and I don't particularly like the government of this country either. Does that make me anti-British? Am I using every oportunity to express hatred at all things UK? No.
Freedom of speech. I think you'll find it covered by your first amendment, although it doesn't apply to bleeding heart liberals and other assorted lefties.

I don't hate him or most of his fellow Americans. I almost feel sorry for him.
But I do find his harping on about how we all hate him/them pretty tedious.

Why is it that every Yank I know or have met are ashamed to say " I AM AMERICAN"? They always have to say "I AM IRISH, ITALIAN or what so ever country their ancesters came from".
Tell me Bimmercat, where you half way out of your mothers womb in Ireland and then rushed over to America for the final push, so you could then claim "I AM IRISH AMERICAN"?
After all in the UK we don't go around saying Swedish or Danish British, WE ARE BRITISH and have no problem saying it. Be proud you wankers and say "I AM AMERICAN"
By the way "I AM A YORKSHIRE MAN" first and always, but hey that's a birth right given to few.lol.
