Is it 3, 4 or 5?
Pervert seems to imply that Blunkett resigned for the sake of his family. Thats a load of bollocks. The story runs whether or not he is Home Secretary. His "family" is dragged into it already.

I do like Prescott's left hand, not a bad jab for a fat bloke, maybe he should have lent it to Danny Williams!

He claims he resigned to save Tone, to commit all his efforts to gaining access to "his" sons.

Looks like five, if he's right.

An election on the horizon thing, perhaps. But where do we now stand with the contentious issues (ID cards, etc) of Blunkett's zealous reign? Over to you, 'Bruiser' Clarke...

I'm probably going to get slated for this but I really don't see what the fuss is about.

So he fast tracked a visa application. Big deal!

Was he wrong to do so? Yes.

Was it an abuse of his privailiged position? Of course it was.

But lets be honest about it, politicians, councillors et all have been pulling strings for donkeys years and "doing favours". It doesn't make it right but it happens. It's called the real world and we all live in it.

I suggest if you don't believe similar things (abuses of power) like this go on at your local town hall on a daily basis then please feel free to believe in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

I agree Eduardo, no big deal really, who has not done a favour for friends etc, solicitor friend gives advice etc......, but in this country, once the tabloids get thier teeth into someone.........thats it!, they are gone, on one hand maybe it,s a good thing, on the other, they are complete utter cunts, ALL of them.

Can't agree with you Lizard. A solicitor friend gives you advice, no probs, unless its breaking client confidentiality or some other rule.
But politicians, whether they're local parish councillors or government Ministers just shouldn't "do favours".
Its a major problem down here because Maori have got this family thing (bit like Eastenders) and politicians make the excuse of whenua (family obligations) to make special pleading on behalf of 2nd cousins 3 times removed.
